All student organizations at NC State, including those in engineering, must register in the new Student Involvement software, CollegiateLink, at https://getinvolved.ncsu.edu. That registration should be done by the President or principal officer of the organization. Check out our list of student organizations often of high interest to our students.

Taking Academics Further

CSC Honors Program

The Undergraduate Computer Science Honors Program provides gifted undergraduate students in computer science the opportunity to enhance their academic experience by doing research or an independent development project with faculty members, taking advanced courses, and participating in occasional meetings or events with other Honors Program students. Honors can be completed within the 121 credit hours required for the BS in Computer Science.

GEP Thematic Tracks

A thematic track within the GEP is a 12 credit hour option. Upon completion of an approved thematic track, the title will be noted on the student’s transcript.
Upon completion of the thematic track requirements, the Application for Thematic Track Option form should be submitted to the Office of Undergraduate Courses and Curricula for approval and notation on the transcript.

The Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s (ABM) degree program allows exceptional undergraduate students at NC State an opportunity to complete the requirements for both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees at an accelerated pace.

CSC Tracks

Computer Science Tracks are a specific way to utilize your degree requirements, allowing you to specialize in Security, Entrepreneurship, or Robotics without the commitment involved with the Concentrations.
