{"id":72,"date":"2022-11-28T19:24:50","date_gmt":"2022-11-28T19:24:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/my.csc.ncsu.edu\/dgp\/?page_id=72"},"modified":"2022-11-28T19:24:54","modified_gmt":"2022-11-28T19:24:54","slug":"schedule-revision-after-census-day","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/my.csc.ncsu.edu\/dgp\/services-info-for-students\/schedule-revision-after-census-day\/","title":{"rendered":"Schedule Revision After Census Day"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>After the 10th day of a fall or spring semester (<em>census day<\/em>), the Graduate School does not allow any course registration that will add credits to your schedule, except for &#8220;documented medical reasons or other verified, unforeseen grounds of personal or family hardship&#8221; (see&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/policies.ncsu.edu\/regulation\/reg-02-20-02\">REG 02.20.02<\/a>). However, it is possible to&nbsp;<em>swap<\/em>&nbsp;one course for another after census day, as long as the total number of credits in your schedule does not increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I suggest that you make every effort to finalize your schedule by census day. The department will allow you to swap a course for another (or for research credits)&nbsp;<strong>only during the first two weeks following census day (i.e., by the end of the fourth week of classes).<\/strong>&nbsp;To do so follow the instructions on&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sis.emas.ncsu.edu\/students\/schedule-revision-requests\/\">this<\/a>&nbsp;page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you will be adding research credits,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>follow the guidelines for\u00a0<a href=\"\/dgp\/services-info-for-students\/researchcredits\/\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"\/dgp\/services-info-for-students\/researchcredits\/\">Registration in Research Credits<\/a>, and<\/li><li>have your advisor email csc-gradoffice@ncsu.edu to provide an additional statement about how you will make up for missed time.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Graduate School has final approval of all Schedule Revision requests.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After the 10th day of a fall or spring semester (census day), the Graduate School does not allow any course registration that will add credits to your schedule, except for &#8220;documented medical reasons or other verified, unforeseen grounds of personal or family hardship&#8221; (see&nbsp;REG 02.20.02).
